So I just got some Polarg bulbs, but I have no idea how to remove the cover to the maplights. Anyone with instructions?

Also, the link for the Polarg M60 lights that Rick posted 3 years ago is no longer in stock (they only carry B1/H1?). I tried finding them everywhere (googled it, ebayed it) but they're no where to be found. Is there a new replacement from Polarg for their old M60s? If not, what are my alternatives?

Thanks Rick for all the helpful info on the bulb sizing

I've been wanting to replace my back up lights with some hyperwhite versions.....

One drawback to these hyperwhite lights which I think someone already mentioned is that they get EXTREMELY HOT so I prefer not to use them in areas where they are always lit (aka: license plate, dome lights, parking, etc)

I've been testing these new SMT (surface mount LED) lights that come in both the tube and wedge shapes. I've put them in my side markers and license plate areas with a lot of success! If anyone wants to see some pics let me know.

I'd love to have white front blinkers but that means on my AP2 I have to crack open the headlight. Has anyone attempted this or have any advice?

thanks,
rick

I think they replaced the Miracle White with Alpha White.

The stock HID's are 4500K AFAIK so the Alpha White are a perfect match.

I found this site:
http://www.automotivelightingusa.com/ (look at last letters in the model numbers)
that had all the bulbs Rick listed and I'm very happy with my conversion.

Rick is working on the AP2 turn signals right now. There is a whole thread about this.

You need to stick a straight screwdriver in the front clips and gently push back and down. If you look close, you'll see what I'm talking about. If you are careful enough, you won't leave any marks.

AAAAaaah F********! I don't know why I'm such a dumbass when it comes to handiwork. I usually get the job done, but I leave a mess. So I left a pretty clear and obvious mark on the A-pillar plastics. What's a good way to nullify the situation? Ultra-fine sand paper?

The M60s Rick recommended don't seem to exist anymore. What's a good replacement for the high beam/day light running lights? Any brand for Polarg to PIAA is cool, I just need to know the exact model. I visited the PIAA website, and there seems to be a lot of the same types of bulbs with different intensities and different wattage. What wattage should we use? I'm looking for a clean white color, so...close to 6500k for kelvins?

I put these festoon type LEDs into my dome lights... they're bright as hell and don't give off any heat.

I'm gonna go ahead and order those bulbs like Rick's got... I've already got hyperwhites in my turn signals and good golly stuff, but the 194 hyperwhites I bought aren't hyperwhite at all... they illuminate just like the standard bulbs, and that good golly stuff pisses me off.

What size LEDs did you get for your map/dome light?
