Default Anyone knows how to remove............

..........the plastic central tunnel console/panel in which the cupholder & coin tray is part of? I had too many coins and other junks that fell thru the gap behind the cupholder and the coin tray. It's getting really annoying to hear the rattling sound of coins shifting back and forth whenever I accelerate or brake. If there's a way to remove the whole panel without breaking anything, I'd like to know how. Thanks in Advance.

Pretty easily.. just unsnap the back portion of the console (leather armrest part) and work your way towards the front of the console. It is all held by plastic clips and comes up pretty easily.

I tried that, but it felt like the tabs might snap. I hope it won't. Thanks Douglas!
BTW are you going to the Palomar meet? Where (exactly) and when?

Yea, the first time, the center console does give a bit of resistance. Just work on unsnapping one corner at a time and lifting it, should come off with no issues.

And no, not planning on going to the Palomar meet so I have no idea when and where it's starting.

Too bad you don't plan on going Doug, it would be fun to have more 626'ers going. For *once* I was hoping to to dispell the myth about us 626'ers being too lazy to get up early enuf to make morning canyon runs. Well, so much for trying! Hehehe!

Haha, sorry man.. I stay local. I did wake up in the morning last weekend to go up Angeles Crest. Was pretty nice, no cops and very little traffic.

I have same problem...but thing is the coins all traveled way back (too much accelerating). The only way i can get those out is if i take apart the center glove box.
