I had mine put back on but now am going to take it off again because I have to install my yellow hardtop. So no more tape for me..

Tape was under $100 and labor was between $20-$40 dollars. Not too bad. It came out really good. Most sticker/sign shops can do the job. I think you can order the tape from any Honda dealer.

Let me know how it goes.

Really, that's very interesting info JDM -- do you think it's better to have a sticker/sign shop do it, rather than have the dealer do it? Are there instructions for replacing the windshield tape that I could hand them, as I once heard?

Either one can do the job. My friend works at a sticker/sign shop and he did a great job, so I know its possible. As far as directions, its just like a vinyl decal. They should know how to put it on. I havent heard of any directions.

The windshield tape is just an automotive grade vinyl tape, kind of like the stuff the ricer decals are made of, but premium grade adhesive and a bit thicker. i am sure any sign shop with vinyl installation experience can do the job. You will need to make sure that the tape is tucked under the mouldings like it does when stock though. I left mine on, but do think it looks beter if you drive top down most of the time.

Your car is black. How do you know if your winshield frame has tape or paint?
