If any of you decide to rent a storage unit make sure they keep you informed of any maintenance they do on the premises. I rented one to store my motorcycle in while I was deployed, when I got back I opened the door and noticed it was covered with white paint specks. Come to find out they repainted the buildings and some of the overspray seeped in through the cracks in the doors and got all over everything. I was heated but I'd be even more angry if I had a car in there.
Excellent advice, had this happen at a storage unit with just home overflow stuff in it. Also, be sure to check with you insurance company. Some companies require you to park the car at your residence. My collector/classic policy requires me to garage the cars at my home.
Mine also. I figured it's better/safer sitting in storage then outside under a cover. You already know insurance will try not paying if there's a theft claim.

I store mine at home and drop the liability coverage. USAA provides a DO NOT DRIVE notice to stick on the car!

Obviously location and supply and demand will influence rent.

The yard I use is fenced and gated with key code entry, 24 hour surveillance (so you know who broke in) and the storage rooms have padlock hasps on the overhead doors. I used to rent a small room for my daughter's "stuff" during the summer between college years and kept it a couple of winters for boat stuff.

10x15 should be big enough. They have a 10x10 also. Probably too small

I use a 10x20 unit, and swap with my Tacoma Double Cab (about 18' long) when I feel like driving the S2000. I use it as a short term solution while in the process of buying our next home. It's nice, but not ideal for something I like to drive often. My storage unit is only 1 mile away from my home as well.

Also, I think 10x20' is too narrow to work on the vehicle safely/efficiently, so if you were curious, I wouldn't expect to do maintenance inside a unit of that size.
