I know I'm gonna add subs and change out the speakers, has anyone changed head units and can you do it without giving up usage of the extra audio controls near the steering wheel?

Try doing a search, and yes you can change out the headunit and still have use of the aux. controls.

 

Ahh the search feature, forgot all about that since I'm used to a board where the function has been down for several months

I just got my AIWA MP3 Player last week. It came with infrared remote. I am planing to disassemble it and put the dash remote to the buttons and put the infrared emmittor right in front of the unit on the door. I am sure it would work. but, it is going to take time. at least, you get to choose which funtion you want to use on the dash remote. I would love to have a rewide on the dash.

I can't afford anything since I just bought this car I'm gonna take all the goodies out of my SS and put them in the Stook then replace the Camaro with the factory stuff
I have a nice head unit, subs and amps and a friend that works at an audio shop I promised him some beer and a steak if he comes over and helps me out
