Keep your Prelude as a daily driver. . . Buy the S as your weekend/fun car. . . That's what I did, and it was the smartest car decision I've ever made. . .
Originally posted by Hondafan If anybody has one of these cars (Acura TL-S,+ Prelude SH, Acura RSX, or 02 Accord V6 Coupe) and would like to trade for my S, I might be interested.
I would really prefer the TL-S or the Accord V6. The other half hates the S and even though it is paid off, resents the fact that it only has two seats and spends most of its life in the garage. If I can find the right car I can also get rid of either the CRV or the Odyssey and get back to owning two cars.
I am in your same position. I have a 2001 Prelude 5sp with 9000 miles on it. It is in mint condition, but I am going to be trading it in. One thing to consider is since the Prelude has been discontinued there is a strong resurgence in popularity for it. The Honda dealership keeps calling asking me if I am ready yet. I think right now I am going to wait to see what the 04s will be like!
I have a 97 prelude sh and an 02 s2000. I use the Prelude mostly just to keep miles off the s2000. After driving the Prelude for 5 days straight, it makes you appreciate the s2000 more when you take it out on the weekend. If money is an issue owning both, just get a cheap beater. Its definitely worth it.
