Anyone use touchup123?
Anyone try touchup123? I saw their "slick" video and some other references to curing roadrash/chips, so I decided to try that in lieu of the OEM touchup paint + Langka combo.
What I got in their upper end kit for 60 bucks was some "special" blue paper towels, qtips and some cloths. There are 2 liquids. A paint/concealer and cleaning liquid. The paint/concealer is supposed to be worked in dries out almost immediately and is either the wrong color or just much darker than the stock color, since it's supposed to go on very thinly. Anyway, I tried a small portion and because of the paint mismatch it looks like it's pretty crappy. As I saw in the corvette forums:
"Not impressed. I used a microfiber towel because the two included felt rough. When I removed the extra it seemed to pull the paint out of the chips I tried the rougher towels thinking they would ride on the surface on not dip into the chips....no difference.
I tried the paint brush and dabbed paint into the chips....still had the paint remove out of the chip when I wiped off the excess.
I had high hopes but I could see any noticable filling of any sized flaw."
Anyone else care to confirm my suspicions that touchup123 product sucks and doesn't work as advertised? Also like others that I've googled for, it took them 1 month to ship out the kit! 1 whole MONTH!

i got it last week
so far, i want to declare it sucks and donest work. but the chips i had were very small and not very deep. I don't think it works well on minor chips; better on bigger ones?
Maybe i did it wrong....but yeah, it was scary seeing all these smudges on the car.

I've had very small and non deep chips as well as some deep chips. Even if it were color matched somewhat decently, it's a bit of a pain to put on. I've read that rather than using the blue shop towels included that you should try a brush and apply in multiple layers.
It's really not chip repair, it's just a chip concealer.
