Default Anyones softtop act retarded?

So I took off my hardtop after winter where I had the hardtop on for several months. Now when I tried to put the soft top up it gets stuck, and I have to manually pull it up. In addition, it goes up and down real slow, and when it goes up its extremely difficult to get it to latch due to the top not coming up all the way.

Any solutions? I tried searching but tons of irrelevant topics.

Your cloth just needs some streching, my HT was on for about 5 1/2 months the only thing I noticed was it didn't close fully to the window and I had to help it just a bit (no biggie) I remembered I had to do this last season also. It wasn't slow or go half way like you described.

is it bad to have the hardtop retracted for a long time per say because the Hardtop is always on?

doesn't say much for the strength of the motors that close/open the top, does it...

Try oiling the joints on the soft top mechanism as well.
