Default Anything we can do to lighten up the S2000?

I was wondering what we could possibly do to lighten up the S2000 (daily driven)?

Here are some ways that I came across...

CF Hood ~ 7 lb.
CF Trunk ~ 7 lb.
Seats ~ 15 lb. (7 lb. x 2)
Wheels ~ 10 lb. (3 lb. x 4)
Exhaust ~ 10 lb. to 40 lb.
Spare tire and jack removal ~ 30 lb.

Anyone else have any others?

Joe,

Haha...that's good...

Unfortunately, I am trying to gain some weight...so that is bad for my car's power to weight ratio...

You could lose more than 10lbs with the right wheel/tire combo.
I've probably knocked off 90+ with the Amuse exhaust, Spoon Wheels, and Spare tire and jack

Just get more power and then it'll all even out!

Light weight radiator mount from Spoon. About 1/4 of the stock mount weight. Stock(52g) vs Spoon (12g)

Lightweight Rotors (rotating mass, where it counts the most)

Lightweight Calipers (Spoon has them)

Lighter wheels

Ti Exhaust (Spoon/Mugen)

Airbox removal with cold-air intake in CF

ounces more with removal of the windshield wipers and motors, the A/C - oh wait, you wanted to drive this around in Houston, so axe those two ideas.

And finally... a remote control!

I'd like to see forged aluminum suspension arms. That'd be pretty darn trick.

Carbon fiber doors and front fenders would be trick as well.

Racing seats as well would shed some weight.
