vtec, air/fuel controller. allows you to modify the air/fuel ratio and control vtec engagement point. helps put out a little more juice

70mm Headerback Exhaust
4.77 Gears
K&N Drop-In Filter
VAFC

that looks like a good list of N/A mods to beat on evos. stock at least

A Vafc on a stock S2000 won't do you any good. Lowering your vtec point may do more harm than good. If you want to see some decent gains go with a good header, single exit exhaust, Vafc, 4.77 gears, and more importantly some tuning. The gears alone will get you into vtec quick enough

a properly tuned vafc on a stock S2K will give gains. s2k runs rich (ap1 at least) and programming it to run a little leaner gives a small gain.

Your right, I have read that on 00-02's this is the case, but not sure about later years?

I was more referring to it needing to be properly tuned. It sounds like this member wants to wire up the vafc and lower the vtec point so it kicks in sooner.
