All S2Ks are different. Drive before you buy, and you will fall in love.

Actually, I am uniquely qualified to answer his question, as I have been in his scenario... within the last week!
Sorry, you're not unique or qualified....

See negcamber's post above. And very few of what you stated were facts. And some that you stated as fact were incorrect.

Don't be "that guy."

Take the cost difference between an AP1 and AP2... and put it towards swaybars, wider wheels, and gears... that pretty much negates and reverses all your AP2>AP1 "facts." He said he was planning on modifying.

They are both great cars IMO and both have great things that the other does not. I went through the same thing and ended up at an 06. I really liked the added torque, the looks, larger tires, DBW, VSA, passenger airbag off feature, headrest speakers, seats, and a better interest rate (notice that alot of what I liked you would not get with an 04-05). IMO I traded it for the 9K redline, more raw handling, and a slave cylinder without a delay valve. That is what I based my decision on, with no regrets. Either way you go you cannot go wrong, I mean you can buy new tires/rims for the AP1 and you can remove the clutch delay on the AP2.
