Default AP1 vs AP2 ... clutch

The AP2 seems to have a much lighter clutch than the AP1. From my understanding, their pressure plates are the same. Any ideas wy the AP1 is so much "heavier" when you step on it?

Thanks

i dont know exactly why the ap2 clutch is softer, but i know the ap2 clutches have CDV(clutch delay valve) and they have a much heavier stock flywheel.

I had my clutch changed out last week on my 2003 with all Honda parts and it's much lighter than before. It was a little weird at first but I'm getting used to it. I wish there was just a little more feeling on down shifting. Other than that, it's okay.
