does all ap2 clutch feel light?
actually its due to the clutch delay valve in the slave cylinder. it makes it feel lighter and actually makes it slip a little bit so it will protect the differential. you can take it out in a matter of minutes, most ap2 owners do it.
i noticed that the other day. the clutch in the ap2 i drove seemed to have a lot less of a mechanical feel, almost like pressing a button rather than a mechanical pedal. like a video game clutch kind of...
As far as I know, it is not even just AP2's, but also the later AP1's feel the same. I have an 2000 AP1 and my friend has the 2002 AP1. Between driving his and mine, here's what I've noticed and he agrees. My clutch feels like a clutch, his feels like a gas pedal or something, not much resistance or pressure required to press, and as a result, a little harder to find where the contact point is. All in all, the MY '00 to MY '01 had the heaviest clutch, sways, springs and engine/transmission noise...it feels like a sports car. '02 and up, it is watered down, sometimes feels like driving a civic unless you really rev it.
