Sorry to hear about your car attz0r, but you'd be naive to think that all dealerships - even factory ones - would "look after" you, especially if they're trying to sell a vehicle. Furthermore, a well documented service history is just that - a service history. It doesn't tell you how the car was previously treated, only that it was serviced.

You may have purchased an abused vehicle that has escaped even your keen eyes.

I'm guessing that the car has either been in storage or has been sitting in a garage for an extended period of time. Not good for any car and the problems (sans the buzz)you describe ,fit these type problems. Fix your car and drive it . The previous owner(s) probably didn't.

One of my S2000's has had a very colorful history and I have yet to have an issue with it. The car was originally bought in Japan, after a few years a Brit imported it and drove it for a few years. Later, a German bought it and enjoyed it for a few years. Now after 12 years of other drivers I have it. Its a 1999 that frequents the Nurburgring and so far the only thing that goes wrong is an empty gas tank and I have to add a little oil once in a while.

Don't blame the car for what happened. The car is nothing but metal, rubber, plastic and other materials all rolled into one beautiful final product. Sometimes parts fail.... just be glad you were not screaming down the road when it failed.
