ap2 with 00 ecu update
engine still running fine. considerably better gas milege than stock. not incident free, however. twice, cel has come on. both times were "too lean." honda mechanic friend says there is no danger to the engine.
how long have you been running this mod? (so we can get an ideal timeframe) I am curious if the ECU has gone through its learning routine enough to smooth out and perform well.
Also you have the jdm/edm ap2 cluster. KPH only right? I would love if it could do MPH.
Oh and the ap2 doesnt drop out of vtec because the clutch grabs and pulls the engine rpms up. 2nd gear should grab and result in a kick in the pants.
Since the engine is near redline when the clutch is engauged THAT is what keeps the engine in vtec. Since the clutch pulls the car forward the needed 5 mph in order to maintain vtec. ...well Unless you just suck at driving lol. But lets keep it on topic shall we?

whats the point of having 9k rpm again? oh right its bragging rights...
Better acceleration, THAT'S the point.
2.2 liters > 2.0 liters
9k rpm > 8k rpm
2.2 liters 8k rpm = 2.0 liters 9k rpm
2.2 liters 9k rpm > 2.0 liters 9k rpm
2.2 liters 9k rpm > 2.2 liters 8k rpm

the point is engine noise and fun. who cares about bragging, not like it's a hard mod to do. it IS like talking to children some of the time.
mod is still relatively new at a few thousand miles.
