Default ap2 cluster to my ap1

i want to put the ap2 cluster on my ap1, what is the difference (harness, function, etc) or is it just plug and play, will it still hit 9000 rpm?

The harness is different, and you would obviously not have the thermometer. I have only read of one person on these boards that has done the conversion, but I can't remember who it was.

The cluster will not go to 9K. You would need to buy a cluster from Europe to get that functionality. JDM will give you 9k too, but from what I've read they only display in km where the Euro one will do km and miles.

There is so little info out there on how to do this, that if you don't have a lot of know how, I wouldn't attempt it.

Don't forget the mileage is saved in the cluster itself, so if you replace it, it will have the mileage of whatever car you initially got it from.

Plus, you lose one of the best features about the AP1, the long tach.
