In order to prevent any further drama, I'd like to make the following statement:

All I am asking you to do is validate the gear ratios that I posted in the displayed spreadsheet. I got them off of Honda's website. Whether the top speed itself is achievable is irrelevant. The spreadsheet illustrates a hypothetical top speed--that is, if drag wasn't an issue.

The bottom line is I have read some threads which state the gear ratios are the limiting factor in top speed of an AP2. The spreadsheet I posted states otherwise.

I don't believe you. You have something missing from your calculations. I'll let you figure out what it is.
I'll give you a hint:
http://www.turnzero.com/technical_resource...gear_calculator

The top speed (geared or otherwise) of an AP2 is 151 mph.

Ok...I made two mistakes:
Those ain't it.
The spreadsheet I posted states otherwise
The spreadsheet you posted are wrong.

ps. Not sure why you went to the trouble of doing these calculations (wrong as they may be) since this has been done correctly a long time ago.

Your exaggerating. The tires are "W" rated, which means they are good for PROLONGED speeds up to 168mph. Hitting 175mph once instance going to make them explode.

your all high. LOL. 157 is where it hits the limiter. done deal, argue all you want, this makes it obvious none of you are either making the power, or are willing to push it that far. ive done it so many times i stopped counting. boyracers2k has also done it, he hit 156 and was flickering, couldnt go any futher. i can slam the limiter at 157 and the car bucks LOL.
later dave

Can you please tell me what gear you are referring to? My spreadsheet doesn't take into account that gear. If there is such a gear, then it needs to be accounted for.

I am not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. The spreadsheet I posted was provided to my by another member. If the calculations are incorrect, please let me know. The calculations should be what is in dispute, not what the real world dictates.

no silly. drag means something to a stock car, as it cannot overcome it. im passed that LOL. i physically hit the limiter at 157 mph. drag has nothing to do with the car being at the fuel cut. wind does not interfere with my top speed like it did stock, where it wouldnt pull faster than 135-140. thats what you are talking about. im saying the car only goes 157 at the stock limiter.

Ok....without causing anymore drama...please tell me where the spreadsheet is wrong. If I am inputting a wrong number please square me away.
