The idea of the ARC intake is good but the way they make it is quite dumb. The air chamber has too sharp edges which made a lot of turbulence. My friend has dyno his air box awhile and it made 2whp but with the air chamber, he lost 6whp from 6k-9k.

Cool

Hey thanks again guys I appreciate it a ton! I think I am off my idea of the ARC because of $$$$, I think I am going to go with the PRM jet-stream because of looks and its something different plus that is what I was going for with the ARC but now I can save mucho dinero.

If you want an intake that looks awesome with excellent throttle response that cures that dip in vtec go Arc, if you want to have a hydrolocked s2000 dead on the side of the road buy the P.O.S aem v2. Just washing your car that piece of crap will inhale water, worst intake i have ever had not to mention the customer service.

Just the ARC box its 349. With the chamber its another 250 or so. I'm going for ARC myself, it rains too much and unpredictable here in Florida so I need a non CAI.

It's about $340 for the box and $300 for the chamber. I got mine from this place: http://www.rxecret7.com/hondaintake.html

They seem to have the cheapest price on it and they actually had both parts.

Don't forget the radiator cover for that extra bling

While I agree with you, its not THAT bad but yes I wouldnt even put on an AEM if it was free. They would have to pay me to run it.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give ARC a 5.

I'm running an Injen intake on mine now and I have added the umbrella and plugged the drain hole on top of it for good measure. So far I have driven through the hardest downpoars this year (as the WTD05 guys can attest to) and have had no problems. Of course, I didn't cut out my fake vent or cut any more opening that might add to the hydrolock problem. I think if you look at the space that the filter is in, you'll realize that it's very hard for water to get in there unless you cut a vent hole or submerge the filter in water.

CAI should be fine with regards to hydolocking as long as it has a bypass valve. Plus you need to plug the hood drain.

From the pics, I can't tell from where the ARC draws its air. Anybody want to fill me in?

Thanks,
