You remove the intake scoop from the OEM Air Box and the plastic piece infront of the radiator. Than it slips into place. It slips over one of the cross dividers on the grill.

That's just one of the prototypes. They are fibreglass (but using finishing cloth rather than fibrematte for a better internal finish) and are eventually painted in S2000 colours then clear coated.

I should have production models by the end of this week (fingers crossed).

One of the benefits of this Intake Extension is that you don't lose any of the safety features of the stock airbox. Any water or debris entering the intake goes into the first compartment. If you check your first compartment you will probably find some grit and bits of leaves from the standard intake. There is a drainage hole so any water will drain away. The divider wall stops these contaminants from getting to the second compartment and the filter stops the smallest particles.

As for puddles, they'd have to be pretty deep to reach the opening and I wouldn't advise you to drive through them regardless of your intake.

BTW, I have a Coastal Metals Grill. The mounting point on the same side as the intake is obscured.

I have removed mine at the moment, but you could very easily cut a slot out of the intake base to accommodate the mounting bracket.

Once I have my production version I will do this.

The current batch are being made in Silverstone, Black, Yellow, and Red. I'm going to use a Silverstone one. Most orders have been for Black.

Does removal decrease performance? I would think that with more outside air to the engine compartment, if anything, there would be an increase.

TIA
