Welcome to the club. Honda has done two different fixes for me and it's back again. I'm done trying to find a solution for it. Good luck.

Yes. I picked up my '02 last year on July 3rd straight off the truck and it started giving me intermittent problems in September. I got worse and I finally got it fixed last week. The fix has worked perfectly so far, but since Honda has not redesigned the piece that is known to break I'm not too optimistic that I won't have this problem again in the future.

I had it over the winter with my '02. Hasn't happened much since the weather has warmed up. The dealer offered to fix it at my last oil change, but I was in a hurry so I declined.

I'll have them take care of it at my 15K service.

I just spoke to my dealer, and there is a TSB for the auto-down function (or not function as it is).

My 02 had this problem. Check out this thread to find out how I fixed it:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=99672

I have no idea if it'll work for anyone else, but it's very simple so give it a try.

As for the door, I've taken apart my door at least a couple dozen times so far (experiments with stereo stuff, etc) and it is no different than when it was new - no rattles/etc.

That's what they told me on my second trip in. Been replaced and it's back again anyway.

I have this behavior on my '02. IMO it's a very minor problem, and I've heard that it tends to come back even after being fixed, so I never bothered to get anything done about it (and doubt I ever will).

Seems relatively minor as long as the window still goes up and down with no problem. I put my top up and down so much I'm worried that the motors will die. But the moonroof motors and electric window motors in my '95 Accord at still chugging away after continuous use for the past 8 years, so there must be some quality there.

I'm actually pretty happy when I put the top up and the driver's side window doesn't go down. When I put the top up, there's normally a good reason for it - for instance, either I'm parking or it's raining - that also requires the windows to be closed. If the driver's window doesn't go down, then I don't need to put it back up.

As long as the windows keep working otherwise (i.e. when I'm using them normally, and not putting the top up or down), then I'm not worried.

Btw, out of curiosity, is there anyone who has gotten this behavior fixed, driven the car for a long time afterward, and _not_ seen the problem return?
