People choose automatics for 1 of 3 reasons:

1. They are too lazy to shift themselves

2. They don't know how to drive a manual

3. They are too lazy to or don't care to learn

Woah, someone agrees with what I've always said. Coupes can't be sports cars. lol people call everything a sports car. Integras, M3s, GTOs, Camaros, Civic Si's, RSXes, EVOs, STIs, etc. etc. I had a huge debate raging on Honda tech about this. I said that if an EVO is a sports car, what makes a V6 Carmy SE not a sports car?

for knowing whats up!

I say that a true sports car has to have: RWD, 2 SEATS, Handling prowess, and a certain demeanor (which, ofcourse is debateable). But to even have grounds for a debate, the car has to be RWD and have no more than 2 seats from the factory. The less electonic crap and driving aids there are, the purer the sports car.

lol I just remembered that I learned how to drive stick by driving off the lot in my first car at age 16. On top of having only driven for 1.5 years or so, I had never ever driven a stick. I kinda had a concept, so I just did it. To make it worse, my mom was supposed to lead the way home via highway (easy way)....but she got turned around and we ended up taking crowded ass city streets home.

I kept doing the 2 to 5 up shift. Then a 5 to 4 upshift. I kept saying "wtf?? 3rd gear feels like shit....4th gear feels fine, though". lol I've never looked back. I've only owned 1 automatic car since then (out of 9 cars). The only reason I even had the automatic car (it was a Galant) was because I inherited it as a DD when I got my S2000. Not only was it automatic....but it was a mitsubishi. It was traded in within about 2 months for a 99 GSR.

There used to be a kid at a gas station I frequented who INSISTED he knew of someone who owned a auto tranny S2K. I kept telling him such a thing didn't exist, but he persisted.

Original question...Would I buy one? Hell. no.

I have nothing against automatics when they are installed in the appropiate car.
Not that a stick is even available in autos such as the larger sedans, I wouldn't want a stick even if it were available.
Luxury American 4-doors and automatics go together.

I dont think you get many, if any yes's at all to auto here.

Those who really like autos probably dont own s2k's due to the lack of the option and thus are not on this forum to give an opinion in this thread. If honda actually did offer it, you may get quite a few yes's just because the car can attract a crowd who likes it.

I might be wrong, but it doesn'seem like it would be that hard to do.
The biggest problem would be finding a bellhousing that would mate to the engine and to the planned automatic that you want to use.
Like everything in the mod world, things often don't turn out to be as easy as it seems.
You'd probably be developing a close relationship with a machine shop before it was over.
