I get ~25mpg with about 50/50 city/highway. I don't "VTEC" (hilarious when people use that as a verb) that often, maybe several times a tank. I try to avoid cruising at higher speeds (frankly the high revs are annoying) like say >75, which helps gas mileage. I'm sure if I cruised on the highway at a steady 65 I could easily crack 30mpg.

 

How does this work? Need that extra passing power?

 

I average about 22mpg 50/50 city/highway. 05 with ~63k miles on it. VTEC is engaged at least twice a day. Most times I shift around 4.5k.

 

I too, have kept stats from day 1 of every drop of gas. I'm 95% top down, 50/50 fwy/city.

i've recently started using fuelly to track my fuel ups. it even allows you to import data so it can sort through all your old stuff. here it is for my S:

 

I am glad I am not the only person who is a mpg tracking geek.

 

lol my max would be 32 but that is 80 mph top up, or 30 at 55mph-ish with aggressive driving/cruising. least amount 10mpg track. craziest was 24.7 mpg after an intense drive with a whole lot of vtec. average with 70% city is 21 ish mpg.

 

I check my average MPG every fill up and it's always between 24 and 28 mpg combined commuting (worse mileage in winter) and I've got as much as 33.5 mpg all highway roadtrip miles in summer.

 

24-26 MPG mainly top down/no AC/occasional VTEC.

I think anything over 20 in a car like this is a awesome. As another poster said Fun Per Gallon is where it's at!
