Default Average Price for 2000 S2000?

Im in the market for getting a new car and im looking around and the S2000 would be such a nice car to get but may be out of our price range. Im trying to stay ~$25,000 and will buy used if there aren't too many miles on the car. So far ive looked at the MR2 Spyder [Too Small], Celica [Will get if S2000 isn't going to work] , RSX Type-S [Competitor for Celica =)], or the S2000. I know the S2000 would be the immediate choice with those but im trying to research and see if it can be affordable for me. I've looked around and seen a couple used 2000 and 2001's for around 28-29k. If you guys could post some average prices that you have seen around I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

the cheapest '00 s2000 i have seen for sale is around 26,000 w/ 34k miles.
you have to remember that the reason why the '00 are still very high is because most of the people who bought the '00 model paid a heavy premium due to it being the first year.

a good price for a 00 model with decent miles 9k-13k miles should be around 26-27k

Do you think a 2001 would be in that same price range used with about 20k miles?

You can probably get a 00 model with about 35K miles for the price you are looking at. There are few significant features in the 00 and 01 models. The only ones that spring to mind is the clock in the radio display and the addition of yellow. Other than that they are identical. 00 is a far better value for the same car. The big determining factor on price will be milage. Higher milage means less (or no) warranty remaining, the number of rock chips on the paint. Mine's a 00 model with 28K miles and it's like new.

$29K I would think. Figure $3K/year.
