many car mags refer to the location of the engine relative to the axles to determine whether it is mid engine, NOT THE LOCATION RELATIVE TO THE DRIVER.
according to your logic, the NSX is rear engined. tell me, what differentiates a rear engine and a mid engine according to your definition? Oh, is it the location relative to the axle? ding ding ding ding!

I bet Z cars could make you a 4WD S2000 if you payed them enough. They are currently building a 4WD twin engined Ultima for some guy.
