I am going to go back and find out if the first estimate was the correct one. Or if it was too vague. One thing is for sure our dealership will not rip us off!

I recently did the same thing (mis shift). When through the whole warrently battle with honda. It cost me a little over $9000 with tax for a new engine and installation. Parts were about 6500 and 2500 for labor. There was no problems with the transmission and the clutch was ok. It took the dealership about few days to get the parts and another 5 days to install. There should not be any problems with the transmission. You should get a quote from another dealer
