Back End Is Easy To Kick Out...
Completely the opposite situation with my '04. It understeers like crazy, even after an alignment to increase front camber. No doubt it would be fast around a race track, but driving it around the city is rather frustrating.Things to check:
- Tire pressures
- Tire conditions (Don't "know" they're okay, actually check the tread.)
- Alignment

Just curious are there any parts to make it harder to kick the back end out? Also how would someone go about improving the skid pad test? I have read that the 04's pull around .88g and the 00-03 pull around .92g on the skid pad. How does this translate to the 04 being the better handler? Thanks
The reason the S is highly regarded for it's handling is because on a dry road with suffciently warm tyres, it has masses of grip and a very fine balance. This delicate balance means that the car will turn-in nice a sharp and will stay nicely positioned on corners. It also means that at the point where grip gives way, the car will snap away very quickly. Think of the car as being on a knife edge, the 04 is apparently less-so, but it will still bite you if you don't respect it. You really should never be reaching this point on public roads, certainly not at any significant speed. If you are, you need more practice or some driver training. This isn't a FWD hatchback that you can throw around corners, if you treat it like this you will end up spinning the car.
Some tips:
- Let the tyres warm up before you drive the car hard, it makes a big difference to the amount of grip you have.
- Be smooth with your inputs, don't slam the throttle down with any large amount of steering lock.
- Know your own limits, and don't exceed them. You should never be reaching the cars limits unless you're on a racetrack, your own limits should be reached way before then.
I hope I'm not patronising you, it just sounds like you haven't got to know the car yet.

how should I go about fixing the understeer after I have checked everything and had an aliment
A few more possibilities:
- Like Neil.H wrote, possibly everything is the way it is supposed to be and you're just not familiar enough with it. What were your previous cars? Take the S to a local autocross so you can get a better feel for how it performs.
- Something could be wrong with the car, but I don't know what it could be.
- Different swaybars are very effective at changing the car's balance. If everything is okay with it, but you still don't like how it handles and know what you're doing, going to a stiffer front bar will give you your best bang-for-buck.
I bet you guys are right about me not being familiar with the car. This is my 2nd car, my first was a 1991 3000GT VR-4. All wheel drive is something els. Yes I am a bit young... Do you know of any auto x's in florida (north florida would be even better)?

Just a thought. Have you checked your springs and made sure the dealer has removed the spring spacers? The spacers are kept there during transportation of the vehichle. Take a peek at your springs and feel around them just to be sure.
