I am looking for thoughts here. I have a MY04 with 43K daily driver and not driven hard. I swear that the back end is getting loose feeling. I dont mean that the tires are sliding out, I mean the suspension feels loose. There is no grinding, but the suspension sounds louder and feels rickety when I hit bumps.

I know that I need to re-torque the axle nut, any chance this could be the problem? Other thoughts? Sorry for being a bit vague.

Clunking noises?

 

When you go over the bumps, do you hear a knocking? If so, then your ball bearings are gone.
