Default Bad day to good day

Today, my friend and I washed our cars and then went to pick up some pizza for my sister. As we get back, we find that a group of sick birds destroyed both our cars with crap. I'm talking DESTROYED, so I'm pissed. Then as we are checking out the damage, it begins to pour rain! So...we run into the house to escape the rain and eat some pizza when we turn on the news and find out that there's a fire in the Everglades and the ashes are flying through the air and landing on our cars! So, that's ashes on top of rain on top of bird crap! We both are livid. Then...

I had to leave to eat dinner with my girlfriend's family with all this crap on the car. On the way to the restaurant, one of her brothers is with me and he's wanted to see how Vtec kicked in so I obviously show him when I hear sirens behind me and lights about a 1/4 mile back. I tell him to shut up for a second, down shift, haul it to the next light, make a right, then another right into an industrial park and hide behind a building for a few minutes. When all was clear we left to go to the restaurant. As you guessed, we both are about 15 minutes late, but they don't say anything about it and the dinner continues. Somewhere in the dinner, my girlfriend's dad says her how crazy it was for a cop car to pull out in front of them and speed off down the street like it did. Her brother and I just looked at each other, smiled, and kept on eating...

...and yes, I washed the car AGAIN when I got home at midnight.

What does this have to do with S2000 Talk

This is more of a street encounter. S2000 Talk is for discussions about the S2000.

I don't condone this kind of activity, but it should be posted in the proper forum.

I guess Mother Nature has ways to pay you in advance for running from police.

be careful about running form the law. If they catch you (90% of the time they will) you will be arrested on the spot, and the judge will have no mercy for you.

I think there's running from the law and there's ducking out of site before it becomes dangerous or you are nailed. If the cop got behind you and you gunned it, I'd be pissed, but if you were able to pull off the road and hide without causing some big car chase, kudos.

^ Exactly. I would have definitely pulled over if he was closer. Whatever car you're in, you can never beat the radio (or helicopter if it comes to that).

Well, that sounded like an eventful day. I don't understand why you would beat on the car in the rain. Just watch yourself, try to be a little more careful next time.
