How does a 06 z06 505hp vette get 16/26 mpg, the 400hp vette getting 18/26 and our s2k getting 20/26 and 20/25 wit a 2.0L I-4?....my uncle just got a vette and i was looking up info...man its hard to believe how good mpg the vette gets with that much hp and motor size! also the rx8 gets 18/24...haha man thats horrible

 

RPM.

We spin about 4000RPM doing 80, and they lug around around 1800RPM.

 

Gearing. If you both were in top gear at 60 and raced you would kill him.

 

a 505hp and probably 5xxtq monster I think would kill us eithor way

 

the ratings on the S are a bit low from my experience. since i have switched to synthetic i have been getting roughly 28 mpg with about 40% city 60% highway. i shift at hondas recommended shift points and redline every once and a while.

 

wow! synthetic oil gets you better fuel efficiency? i just mix premium shell gas and premium chevron gas... somehow it gets me an extra 3 mpg... i'll try that with synthetic oil... maybe i'll even get up to 30 mpg in my s2... >.<

 

I average about 17-19 mpg all around.

 

I get over 30 mpg on the highway doing 80-85 mph.

 

i got 300miles out of my last tank, that's before the fuel light

95% highway with 85mph average, no CC
