Bad purchase with Hardtopguy

Default Bad purchase with Hardtopguy

i ordered a front lip on wednesday from Jeff from hardtopguy.com. well he didnt have the lip in stock but said he would have it on thursday so I paid for overnight shipping for friday. Well I wait around until 3pm and no fedex, I call fedex and they sayt he item was never picked up. I call up Ganley honda and the guy on the phone tells me that my lip isnt shipped out yet. I tell him nicely that i paid for overnight shipping, he said fedex would deliver it tomorrow being that its overnight. Well i check online for my tracking info and it says that it wont be delivered untill monday because the package wasnt designated for saturday delivery. and i paid nicely for overnight delivery

Shit happens. Stock may not have been delivered in time to Ganley to get it to you in the time frame you had hoped. Their connection may have had some problems. I'm sure if you had continued your dialogue with Hardtopguy, they would have made it up to you in some way and you would be refunded the extra shipping costs.
I bought a big purchased from him some weeks ago. The shipment got to me in 12 days and the shipping was dirt cheap. At no time did I ever suspect anything would be "questionable".
You're sweating about a pretty small thing.

communicate properly & directly with Jeff & Joe @ Hardtopguy - these guys are pros and definitely not looking to take any extra $ from a customer by charging for a shipping service they haven't or aren't able to provide but originally offered. Surely they'll provide you with a credit for shipping ... this doesn't seem to qualify as a bad purchase from this very respectable vendor who happens to work hard to support the S2K community.

Did you try to straighten this out with them first before trying to kill them on a public forum?

Hardtopguy always operates with "top class" in my book. He has always supported this community well and deserves more than a bit of leeway.

they had the spoiler on thursday and as per jeff, he would have it shipped out thursday afternoon. I even calle dhim thursday afternoon to make sure it was sent out and he said it was, but it wasnt. It sat there until this afternoon. I told him that i wanted it by friday and he said no problem. I can be pissed because I spent 113 to have it over nighted I could have just had it fed ex ground for not even a quarter of that price if i wanted it on monday

Yeah, don't be a pissy beeyatch. It won't kill you to wait for a freaking lip. If it was a fuel pump or something critical, then maybe. People are so "me, me, me" and entitled... "I want it NOW! Waaaaah."

I'm sure Jeff will refund or change your shipping to regular ground.

thats right its me me me .....its my money brother. I understand that these guys have been selling to you guys for awhile, i just dont liked being dicked around, all they needed to say was youll have it by monday..thanx

jeez, just from the title i thought they might not have sent you something or it was damaged as they are a good seller but....

i agree man, don't freak out about it. why don't you call them and ask them that since you paid for it to arrive to you on friday and you didn't get it til monday, see if they will charge you for just the ground delivery.

i don't think ANYONE on this board is going to take your side because your lip came 1 or 2 days late from hardtopguy. you are fortunate that it is only a few days. people order parts here from OTHER PLACES and wait weeks to months for their stuff so 1-2 days even a week wont get you any pity. try ordering some JDM stuff from somewhere see how long that takes.

i would straighten this out with them first then close this thread. if they do nothing for you, go ahead and reopen this thread.

I agree its kinda messed up to bash them on an open thread, but he does have a point he did pay $113 for overnight. He has a real complaint , I would just take it to them first.
