Badge Shaving
I've been modifying hondas since 1996 and for some reason I have never taken the time to really look into shaving badges. Now that I have my Berlina I feel an urge to shave that badge off the front bumper.
I did a search that turned up some rough info but if anyone can offer specific answers that would be great.
What goes into the full process of shaving the badge? How long does it last? Can the seal get pushed back through the holes?
About how much should it cost and can any paint shop handle this?
Thanks!

you talking about the badges or door handles? The badges are pretty easy...a heat gun and some 3M adhesive remover and fishing line works well. Heat up the badge...it will get hot, take the fishing line and snake it behind the badge...should move now, and pop the badge off. Use the adhesive remover (even goo gone works) to remove the glue and then wash and wax that area.
Handles....take to the bodyshop

I think hes talking about the front H emblem on the bumper. I had my integra's emblems shaved off. I think what they do it fill it with some metal or bondo and then sand it down and repaint the entire bumper again.
I was just talking about the badges
What I wasnt sure about was if it was just bondo'd and sanded or if there was an easier option like plug from the back and just spray over...
If sanding is the main option I would guess its probably a 200$ job.

I dont really have any urge to shave the trunk, just the front bumper for me. I am not looking to strip my s2k of its honda-ness just clean up the front. I feel like the front badge doesnt flow with the front end, it seems to look much more fluid bare.
