The reason to buy a nice car is so that you enjoy your driving time more.

Congrats! Hope to see your new baby this weekend. You won't miss the Miata after it's gone.
You may want a "beater" with a back seat or worse a pickup bed. I had to have a truck even when I owned a Miata. Still drive it on bad weather days (see sig). The problem is I can't stop driving the S2K.

The airport car is a 1993 Prelude SI with 113,000 original owner miles on it.

When I move from the S2000 to the Prelude I have a tendancy to want to shift around 8,000 rpms - that doesn't go over well with the Prelude!

Hehe, Kid, I call my Accord the airport car too! In fact, for a long time there (about 3 months), it spent so much time at the airport that I didn't even have time to wash it in between. By the time I finally did, it was some nasty color of grunge... reminded me of the scene in 101 Dalmatians where the puppies cover themselves in soot to disguise themselves!

Sondra,
You actually washed the "airport car"?
I think my truck was dark gray when I bought it 12 years ago. Can't tell anymore, it just looks like "road film". I'm afraid to wash away the protective coating. The only time the "other" car gets a bath is when it has been beach launching the cat. I'm sure there are jealousy issues involved since the stook gets a bath if it even looks dusty.

I have my '96 GSR with 117000 miles on it. It still runs like a champ and has never had a major problem.

My beater/daily driver is a '93 Prelude VTEC with 41,003 miles on it. I bought it new in October, 1992. It's got a trailer hitch to tow my utility/motorcycle trailer. It's got front wheel drive to get up hills in Wyoming's winter and it's got snows at all four corners to make it handle decently in Wyoming's winters.
