Behavior in S2000 Talk
Chaz FTW!
Keep up to good work man and don't think that your work here as a mod goes unappreciated (and that goes for all the mods, organizers etc)
Trolls suck, flamers suck, but as we all know life is full of people who have nothing better to do then to try and pick fights or annoy people. Laugh at 'em, feel sorry for them, and move on. If you don't linger too much on worrying about them, then eventually they'll get bored and won't be there to worry about anymore.

It's not just in S2000 Talk, it's the entire site.
This site would be a little better if only paying members had posting privileges.

... besides... i dont even know where to pay for membership....
getting back to the point... yea... some ppl here are real dicks... i feel bad for the newer members coz theres all these idiots flaming everyone and scaring them away from the website.

This makes me sad, by the way. Half the fun of being here is socializing (although most of us take it to the local forums)...

We certainly get some memorable characters on S2Ki from time to time. I think I've been moderating S2000 Talk for about 2 years now, and I remember quite a few of them. The current one is 2HEATY, and he is not sitting well with some of our newer S2Ki members - members who haven't seen any of these attention-starved characters before. Trust me - they're all the same.
I can't speak for Chazmo or S2000GT, but it seems we all have the same moderating routine: Hop on the forums for a little while before heading to work, pop in from time to time during the day, and maybe again from the house in the evening. Chazmo and I are on Eastern Standard Time, and S2000GT is on Central Time (I believe), so there are some hours during our nights when none of us are on. This is when the Site Admins are on the prowl though
Typically I wake up to a few reported posts. Most of the time these are simply from people who accidentally hit the "Report" button instead of the "Quote" button, and that's okay. Other times these are very viable reported posts that we act on as soon as we check our email (where the reported posts come to). Before I write about what I woke up to in my inbox this morning, I want to say that we appreciate your reported posts - it really helps to make our jobs easier! Thank you to those of you who do this regularly (you know who you are
), and I hope you continue to help us out
This morning we had some reported posts dealing with 2HEATY, and messages telling us how bad a job we're doing, etc, etc.... These were all from members with less than a year on the board, so I chalk it up to Internet immaturity - meaning, they haven't been around long enough to have seen a 2HEATY before. It also ticked me off
There seems to be two camps on the change in maturity level occurring on S2Ki. One camp doesn't want to admit the change, and others keep bringing it up. It should be obvious which camp I'm in. The argument circles around the fact that the original S2000 is now an 8 year old car, and in certain instances, has become more affordable than some Civics. Essentially, the S2000 has become a car available to a younger age group. Not to say there aren't some good apples in every age group, but there has certainly been a dissolving of courtesy over the past 2 years.....maybe longer.
If we can get anything out of this thread, this is what I'd like to see:
Thanks
