Dude, a bent rim can be fixed for ~ $150.00.
Just look in your phone book or try a local body shop.

Bent rim?
Sound very familiar.
This is the result of my dragon experience (or lack of, because this happened right before we started).
This is after they tried hammering it out. It was worse before.

With a 225/35 series tire on the front, it really doesn't take much to bend the rim.
Not much protection.
Its like going with a super thin condom. Risky, but it has its appeal!
Oh, and I hit a hole on one of the curves up in the mountains. Thats how I bent it.

RT:On the inside of on of the corners the edge of the pavement had broken off and it created a pothole like depession that I hit.......BANG.......vibration at 80mph...Turbopwr...I gave you the keys to try yourself!!!
thats exactly what happened to me.
Check this out. I spoke to the lady at the "rim" place in Knoxville, and she told me that she has had customers with bent rims like that before, and that the Department of Transportation has paid for it.
So, I tried. I called DOT up yesterday, and they are sending me a claims form.
I need proof, evidence, and then they evaluate it on a case by case basis.
I guess if it happened to the two of us, it might be easier.
