Gears don't give you more HP... they just change the delivery..

Best bang for the buck
FI
Gears
If you aren't doing either of the above, you will have to spend more money for less power

T1R 70R Single Exhaust/Testpipe
AEM V2 CAI
J's header, maybe Megan header after results
VAFC

This would get you the most power, I would think for n/a bang for the buck

Also, a free mod I would incourage that many have done. Since you have an AP2, the AP2 slave cylinder delay valve removal. Instead of having to wait almost a full second inbetween shifts for the power to kick in, it will come instantly.

But would you agree that the best performance out of all N/A parts would be gears?

If you have a grand to spend I would agree with what the majority have said here that gears are the best bang for the buck. Some have said turbo, but to get that bang you have to spend a lot of bucks . IMO, the next best bang for the buck is a SC, comptech or vortech. I think they are a better bang for the buck then a turbo setup, and this is coming from someone that chose to go turbo.

I would go ebay cold air intake, megan header, test pipe, removed exhaust resonator, and gears... probably can get all of that for under $1000, but will have to do the install yourself.
