Best Exhaust...?
Just my 2 cents...I have the mugen exhaust, and while it's generally true that sound alters very little from stock, it changes completely in character at 5000rpm and above. think F1 and you'd be close. Everytime I pass through a tunnel I can't resist revving it to 9 just to hear it. I've seen and heard the HKS, but IMO a very tiring drone after half an hour.

What do you want to know about this exhaust?Just tell me.
For the noise and sound it is comparable to a amuse ti exhaust. For performance it is surely more powerful on the top end. the J's racing website claim they improve about 15hp, proved from their dyno.

I'm getting ready to bite the bullet and get the Spoon Single. I like the fact that it has a silencer that can be used if you feel you need it around town and you can open it up at the track etc..
Have you heard it and if so how did it compare in volume to the J's and the Amuse?
Thanks!

Most depends on expectation. Everyone says the Mugen exhaust is quite, but I found that it was louder than what I expected. For me, any louder and it would be up for sale.
My only criticism is a small drone when stepping on the throttle from 3krpm to 5krpm. Something you cannot avoid unless you're downshifting continously.
I also think that this car does not need more sound > 6Krpm. It is a blast anyway you cut it, with whatever exhaust. Down low, it does need some help, it's not like it sounds like a Civic but it's not sporty enough. The Mugen exhaust fills that space pretty well IMHO. ... and it saves a lot of weight!

Luis,

FYI I also experienced the "drone" until lubricating my hangers, give it a try.

Wow, seems there are more manufacturers of exhausts for the S2000 than there are cars on the road!

J's Racing
Kakimoto
Magnex
Mugen
Neuspeed

Has anyone made an effort to compile these into a list; including cost, sound, description, where to buy? (I've not been able to find such a "chart" by searching this forum)
I'm in the market and want to buy!
Personally, I want something that sounds great when blipping the throttle or driving away. But I don't want boomy sound when on the highway. HP and light weight would be a plus. I also don't want something that looks like a pendulum swinging back and forth when going over bumps, etc. (this was how the Comptech was on my TL).
Any recommendations?
