With all due respect, your statement is incorrect. The Mugen intake DOES make power, it makes approx. 22hp gain on the dyno! BEFORE any body flames or get's on their soap box I will try and post it for you to see, so be nice!

You never really see to much about this because it Really is expensive, so not too many people have it and spend alot of time with it at the dyno.

Their A LOT of guys in Japan who are running the Mugen intake though.

I personally like the Injen CAI( whats on my car now) outside the Mugen( what I will be installing, once I pick up a Mugen CF hood)

I would reccomend a pro flow 70mm throttle body and a k&n air filter for the stock box.

the thing is that it's really hard to measure cai's power gain/ lose on dyno...
some say mugen actually gains a lot when car's on track...

then again, there is NO s2000 cai that actually gives noticeable power gain on the market.
so like sir xviper said, it really comes down to your taste and how much money you wanna spend. (or waste...)

then there's this stuff, which is supposed to be the most effective cai for s2000.
(which is also one of the most expensive, and the best looking...)

Just in case you weren't joking, I'll answer.
NO. Take a look at some of the threads here with pics of both the Comptech and the Vortech. There is no room. PLUS, why would you want to have this when you have a S/C. The S/C output will "overpower" any gains that CAI will ever make. And it's really pointless putting in "cold air" that will get compressed and heated up anyway. That's what the intercooler is for - to take the heat away.

If you have the proof, lets see it. From what I've heard and read a snorkel type CAI just minimizes heak soak. SMCurry in Hawaii has a Mugen CAI and he has not posted these gains. Actually you might lose 1-2 hp. Anybody know how to measure the ram air affects above 50 mph without a wind tunnel?
