Best two are the Passport 8500 and the Valentine One. If you want the best between the two, better put on a flame proof suit.

I personally have 2 V1, but have never tried the 8500. I'm sure that both are equal in quality, but I love the arrows. They are expensive, but they've already paid for themselves.

This is like brunettes and redheads. On any particular day one might outweigh the other. But they're both really really really good. Buy either with confidence. But remember, it's just a drivers aid, not a license to become a scofflaw. I run the 8500. JGP

Anyone of them that you feel confident in and warns you with enough time to slow down when your speeding.

I have both the Valentine One and Passport 8500. Both have good and could be better features. I have never received a ticket while using either.

I like the 8500 better (feature based and not performance based) JM2C

This has been argued upon for centuries and probably many more to come...

Both detectors are VERY good and will not dissappoint. However, the V1 costs quite a bit more but gives the infamous arrows to let you know where the "bogey" is located. That alone was worth the extra cost in my mind. The V1 is also upgradeable. It all depends on your budget.
