People stopping in the street and pointing is a regular occurence.
Two different times I have had girls shout 'Nice Car' with a big smile.
Even groups of kids have been known to shout 'nice car mister'.
I regularily find greasy hand prints on the driver and passenger side windows from people looking into the car.
So far I have had no bad reactions from people, hope I never do.
God, I loooove this car

I was cruising around Lake Tyler in NE Texas with my wife. We stopped for some sodas at the local marina. Wife ran in and I stayed with the car.

Two very attractive, early 20's college girls from UT Tyler (it was written on their half tee shirts) came over to admire. Just as my wife came out of the store, one of the girls says, "Give me a ride", in a very come-hither voice. Without missing a beat my wife-unit asserts, "NO!!", and gets in.

Does a 40 year heart good.

Regards,

Al

Upon taking delivery back in February 2000 I just wanted to drive and finally ran out of road down in Key West, Florida.
A cruise ship came in and suddenly Duvall street was full of hundreds of tourists surrounding the car snapping photos.

My wife and I have been looking at houses for awhile. Seems like every time we enter new neighborhoods, there would be kids playing out in the street or driveways. We always get a wave and a yell of "I like your car". My wife just gets a kick out of it and always wave back and yells "Thank You".

Jeffrey

Still searching for a house after 6 months so I guess we will be seeing more of these neighborhood kid types.

One of my neighbor came out in bare foot to tell me 'Nice car'. I wish I had better sentence than 'uhhh, thank'.

cheers,

Wow, where do I bigin? Stuff happens every day!

1. Vette driver and girlfriend/wife carefully maneuver
accross a crowded busy parking lot to check it out.

2. Family pulling up behind traffic @ stop light leaves me room and let me stick my nose out in front of them as I exit a gas station. As I sit (rear end still on gas station lot) waiting for the green light, a little kids voice among the noises of the busy intersection "Hey Mister"... ...again "Hey Mister". From the back of this family's sport utility this little guy (5-6 yrs.) gives me the thumbs up and yells "nice car"!

3. Since the wheel & tire addition, any and all performance car drivers and passengers nearly break necks checking this stook out. Cops too.

4. Best reaction of all comes from me, myself & I. After 3-1/2 months of ownership, I still stop what I'm doing, walk to the front of the house and check it out in the driveway (or open garage and look her over). I cannot get over how fortunate I am (we are) to have this car.

Actually, I think I have/had the best reaction to our cars...Before I ordered mine, I was driving home from the office and a Silver/Red is sitting in the parking lot of the cleaners near my house. I pull in the parking lot driver door to driver door and just start staring. The guy looks at me and waits about 30 seconds (no words spoken yet...too busy staring) and asks, "Do you have a question or do you want to just stare at the car?" I look at him and go, "Yeah." What an idiot. Turns out the guy was really cool. Parked it and let me get/look inside. Took me for a ride. Went and ordered it the next day!! Chris, if you are reading this, THANKS!!

Funniest thing about our car was when my wife told me this. She was shuffling through a traffic jam when this guy going the opposite way espies her. All she hears as he passes is

Coming home from a driving school on this past Sat. I was pulled over on the Hwy. by a ghost car. I was only going a few km's over the limit so I am waiting in my car with my licence and insurance ready when the officer walks up, looks over the car - then sees me waiting with my info in my hand and starts laughing. He then apologises and says that he had been behind me for 10 minutes and just wanted a closer look at the car. He askes me how fast it will go. I tell him that on this road it would do 110 km/hr. (the speed limit) He gets a huge laugh out of that, I get out, we talk for a few minutes - and I end up taking him for a ride down the highway to the next off ramp and then back to his car that was still parked on the Hwy. with the lights still on. He thanked me and I left. I hope that if I ever 'do' break the speed limit and get caught, that it is by officer Tim.
