I personally didn't witness this as you'll see below, but it's got to be the best reaction my car has had yet.

I went to pick up my county sticker during lunch one day and brought a friend of mine from work along as he was interested in getting an S2K as well and had not yet had a chance to actually be in one.

I park it in the lot of the government center and while I go inside, my friend decides to stand in the shade of a tree rather than sit in the car in the sun, so he witnessed the following from 20 feet away...

The owner of the truck we parked next to comes out and stops in front of my car and looks it up and down. He walks around it twice, then proceeds to get in his truck. He sits there a few seconds, gets back out of the truck, and takes another couple of laps around the S2K.

He finally gets in his truck and my friend sees him mouthing the word "WOW!"

Wish I had seen it!

I'm cruising through a low class residential area on my way to this mountain road I like to drive on. Some guy is putting a bag in his trash can and he has been staring at me since I came into view. As I roll past him at 25 mph, he yells to me: "F*ckin' Hippy!"

squarrels in my house area sit down on my car like they want a ride...

I'm not sure if it's due to reaction but I'm pretty sure because it doesn't do that to other car.

another one. I was about to walk across the traffic to goto my car. it was very busy traffic. Incidetally, driver from both sides were stopped to look at my car so I was able to walk across casually. it actually benefits to have s2000.

cheers,

Two incidents come to mind...

1) Getting out of my car in front of a local club, one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen yells "nice car" and waves at me, then walks into the club with her friends. I go in and, after having about half a beer with my friends, spot the girl eying me from the bar. Gathering what little confidence I have, I go over and ask her if she'd like to take a ride... We've been going out for about 6 months now.

2) A few weeks ago I was in stopped in the left lane of a three lane street when a ferrari modena pulls up next to me, and a brand new porsche carrera 5 pulls up on his right. When the light turns green, the porsche guns it and pulls into the ferrari's lane halfway to the next stop light. The light is still red when I pull up, and once I stop, the porsche begins revving his engine and looking over at me. I rev in response and he nods his head, the light turns green and we both peel out and take off, ferrari in tow. The porsche was out of sight before too long, but I considered him cutting off a ferrari to race a honda a real compliment to the car. An added compliment being that I managed to stay ahead of the modena for quite a while.

What a great car

oh and some other reactions that i get regularly while driving down south street on friday or saturday nights is a bunch of girls(whom must be jealous or somthing ) singing "lets go barbie lets go!" and they give me this evil look. i think of it as a compliment barbie wow i mean i have the blonde hair and all but who knew lol. it is starting to piss em off though i just say "well this barbie and her car arent the ones acting a fool because of something that someone else has" but i guess with a car liek this then you have to expect reactions good and bad.
but i get more good than bad

Hi rstark, or I should say "Aloha". Nice shot on Tantalus w/Diamond Head in the background. Just curious, have you been pulled over for driving without your front plate yet? Or did you just take it off for the pic? I want to take off my front plate too, but not sure how tight the police are on that.
