And a good springs/shocks set-up,is better then cheap coilovers.
And OEM shocks are not designed to work, with lowering springs.
I myself,run Kg/Mm Supersports,with Koni yellows,and that set-up,improves OEM handling,but you"re talking $1000.00 here.
And don't forget, to get it corner weighted and aligned.
I'd like to get a set of Koni's as well...I think that your set-up is great. But springs alone are a great stepping stone on the way while allocating funds for the shocks
I myself am still considering a coilover set-up like the KW Varient 3's and currently am more concerned with power. So, there are about 35-40k miles with the KG/MM's on the stock shocks...they have held up great thus far and hopefully will continue to do so until I could replace them with either the Koni's or the KW's
But you are correct in saying that springs are much better when complimented with shocks. I'm just saying that it is not necessary
If you dont have the big bucks, I think springs are fine.
I ran the Eibach pro kit for a while, and thought it was fine. Did several auto-x laps with them, and it was better than stock, and looked a lot better.
Coilovers are better of course, but not everyone wants to spend that kind of dough on that result.
SC might be better than an AEM V2, but does that mean the V2 is a waste of money?
I have the Konis with KG/MM Super Sports (KG/MM calls them something like "SS" now I believe). I love the drop, and the control is fine. I will admit, because I always seek the least body roll possible, I've further supplemented that quest with a Saner front sway bar. The Bruised Banana sticks to the road like burnt egg in the bottom of a fryin' pan .
126K miles rolled on the odo this weekend...call me impressed!
