Default Best Suspension

I'm going to be driving the S for a DD but will be making trips to the track and Auto X. For a prelude the best setup would be Koni with Ground Control coilovers. Long story short....my prelude is having problems, I'm trading it in for an S2K (04-05). To get back on track what are most of you spirited DD's riding on? So far i've come accross the Koni/GC and pss9? What others? Also I'm looking into an AEM CAI or short ram. What runs best on the S? A Toda header, and either the Fujitsubo or Amuse T-1R Exhaust more than likely with test pipe. Any and all suggestions welcome. - Tom

Stock.

The stock suspension is amazing. Perfect blend of comfort and sport, erring on the sporty side. How does Honda do it??

Have you driven an S2000 yet? The S2000 is not nearly the same as a Prelude in terms of modifications. Mainly because it doesn't need them. Don't mod this car just to said that you modded it.

The same goes with the exhaust/intake. No aftermarket dual is going to net you a big HP increase. A single will produce better results and be significantly lighter, but they are loud as hell and duals are cooler than singles.

I haven't seen many people post gains with an aftermarket header. The stock header is extrememly well designed.

There is a lil bit of body roll with the stock suspension, and the shocks will fade under heavy use.

Personnaly for race I would go with the Bilstein coilovers

You could perhaps get Koni Yellows, but you'll have more than a handful with the stock setup.

Instead of worrying about upgrades, get some good tires and have fun on the track.

That's because you got the watered-down version of the S.

Stock is great, but for racing puposes I would also go with Bilstein coilovers because they are stock on the EVO IX MR and they are GLORIOUS!
