Best Suspension
I too would recommend Bilstein coilovers. I've had mine a week and they ride great for DD. In fact, I actually wish they were a little harder because I like the feel of a stiff suspension. To be honest, they feel like they are stock only the body roll is significantly decreased now, and I also have a nice lower center of gravity. I'm 2" lower than stock, and I have had zero rubbing issues with my 17" SSR Comps.
for the Bilstein
Stock will be fine for you until your driving skill exceeds the car; that might be a while as there are a lot of good drivers who still track/auto-x very well on stock suspension. You'll have to spend a good deal of money to improve on the stock setup; from what I've read on here, the cheap solutions are no better (and sometimes worse) than stock. Hope you enjoy the new S when you get it.
