Best way to take a U-Turn?

I haven't tried that yet in this car...I used to do it all the time in my front wheel drive, automatic tranny sedan...it was easy.

If you're driving correctly, you don't need to pull the parking brake... unless you're busting a 180!

The faint-drift technique works really well.

Turn briefly in the opposite direction, then swing the wheel back towards the turn. This initiates a weight transfer to the inside wheels and loosens grip to the outside, so as the weight starts transferring back and the car starts rotating, the tires lose their grip easier. Use the throttle to then modulate the angle of the ass around the turn. You can swing the ass out the whole 180 degrees with this technique.

Tons and tons of fun.

There are other ways as well.

I like this one alot at low speeds, but it's a bit scarry when entering the u-turn pretty fast!

1) come to a slow roll
2) turn wheel hard
3) while turning wheel push in clutch
4) wind engine up to around 5k
5) drop the clutch
6) counter steer (if needed)


What makes this the "best" way? Well it's not the fastest, but it'll more than likely be the most fun =)
