What bicycle carrier are you using with your S? Show me some pics! Reviews!
Looking at picking up a "hanging" bicycle carrier and wondered what people have been using on the S. The Saris Bones is the obvious front runner but not sure how these hanging type carriers fare on the S with it's smallish trunk.
*EDIT* Looking to carry two bicycles.

My two cents.
First cent: get a foldable bike and put it in the trunk.
Second cent: get a trunk rack (Surco and I added oak slats to keep anything from hitting the paint) and put the bike on that. That way you can carry a bike and have the ability to carry other junk too if you need to. You can see I had to load the rear tire (front tire is mounted on rear) when I had a flat a days drive from home.
I might add it takes less than 5 minutes to install and 1 minute to remove.

I should've qualified that I'm hoping to carry two bikes, for myself and wife and doubt the trunk will fit two fold-able bikes. *edited original post
The trunk rack is a neat idea, but I can't picture getting two bikes on there either.

Honestly I would get a different car for this; the S is a great weekend car. Can you buy a bike rack for 1 bike for the S? yes 2 yes if you wanted but there are better options
I guess but for 2 its so impractical you would be better off buying a cheap beat car that you don't care about messing hit; bikes hitting using straps on ect.
The way I look at is; do I want to park my nice car outside for hours as I am on the trail. Do I want to risk the bike damaging my S. Just food for thought.

I ride my bike a lot.
I used to say that the S2000 had a built in bike rack.
I just stuffed the bike in the passenger seat.
However, I installed a trailer hitch and use a 1UP rack now.
The rack is truly great. It goes on or off the car is under a minute.
You can get a 1UP rack to hold 2 bikes. They are great racks indeed.

New 1UP rack:
By the way, that bike frame is one I built myself.

Thanks ya'll. I guess I'll have to start looking at hitches. We have other vehicles with hitches and have hitch mounted carriers already but I was hoping for something simple to put on the S.
One of our favorite quick getaways thing to do as a couple is take long weekend trips to small-medium cities and ride our bikes around to explore the city and/or camp at or near near state parks and explore those via bicycle. We've been using our other vehicles to do this but at the same time it would be great to have the S so we could drive further out and explore the countryside as well.

You may consider an electric scooter. Handle folds down for storage in the trunk. Great way to get around in cities and level campsites. Costco has them for around $400 or so. 15 mile range.
