your exactly right poks2k.... he had said there was beer sittin on top of the seat and by the time he was able to get a towel to wipe if off, it had soaked into the seat.....soo there lies my problem....
what i have done for the meantime is i sprayed the part of the seat with my 303 aerospace protectant and kind of saturated it...hoping that will also soak thru and perhaps help neutralize the smell..and since its a protectant for the leather figured it wouldnt hurt the seat either.....
although it just kills me to think that there is beer sitting in the foam cushion of the seat....
sigh..

If you check the Helms manual, you will see removing the leather seat cover APPEARS to be pretty easy - giving you access to the pad. I have never done it so I can't promise anything as to the difficulty.

Total seat removal is easy. There are four bolts holding down the two tracks it slides on plus there is an electrical connection under the seat (undo it first) for the seat belt buzzer. But after you have it out ... then what? Can't help you there. I know a couple guys that would suck it out of the cushion if they were thirsty enough.

The seat cover is attached (under the seat) with c shaped staples called hogsrings. There is a special tool (cheap) for attaching them and to remove them you just spread them open and "unthread" . The difficulty, in my mind, is in stretching the material over the cushion. If it were me, I'd pull the seat and take it to an upholstery shop, have the cover removed and then do whatever it takes to unspill the beer!!!
