rust on rims?

Default rust on rims?

i've had my s2k for about 2 weeks now and i wash it about 2 a week and i have been noticing a lot of rust powered on the inside of the rim? does anybody know what is causeing this. whats the easiest way to get rid of this and keep it gone?

Could it be coming off of the brake disks?

I notice that the iron rotors instantly show rust whenever I wash the car. I have to drive it a little to clean them off.

thats what i thought but i have never seen a car to leave a line of rust around the rim from the brakes its usualy just fades off the brake

it's the weights on the rim (at least on my car). sucks but cleans right off.

It is the rotors. You can only eliminate the problem by treating the rust there.. you can use rust prevention solutions, and or paint or plate the rotors.

Uh, wouldn't that prevent your brakes from working properly?

Yeah, but what treatment you get on the swept area (you try to minimize that) will be rubbed off by the pads just like the rust. Much of the rust is coming from the vanes and edges of the rotors that can be treated in numerous ways with no affect on braking.
