Ever compared a Mugen or Amuse dry carbon hood with a OEM one?

How do you figure?
the stock hood is about 15-20 lbs maybe
The real honeycomb CF hoods are like 3-5 lbs.
Do the math

Check out www.evilplastic.com
It is Saturn related and not S2000 but still very interesting.
There is a detailed section on weight loss of his car. The concept is there, just need to tranlate to the S2000.
You didn't mention if this was going to be a track car only or not. If so, you could always start removing things without replacing them.
Anyway, check out the site. If nothing, they have nice pics

my track car with 6 point rollcage and hardtop weighed 2400lbs....i could have knocked another 30-40lbs out fairly easily.....
no a/c, no heater core, mugen header, apex N1 single exhasust, testpipe, 16" CE28N wheels, no carpet, no radio, no passenger seat, no airbags, no headlight balasts, stock body parts and battery..
I could have removed my airpump, cut out my doors more than i did, lighter battery and that would have been at least 40lbs lighter....

Thanks for your input guys!
I've actually lost almost 40lbs myself, so more than that I'll be a bag of bones
anyway, im gonna go with single tip exhaust, take out the spare tyre and change into light rims.
i will leave the flywheel as it is as i might supercharge or turbocharge my car in the future.... i might need a heavy duty one. Oh final drive ratio is also on the book, but these mods are of a different nature.
