A helper spring basically keeps the regular spring help firmly in place even when at full extension. Generally, helper springs are fully compressed when the car is resting on its own weight. *These are observations with another brand of coilovers, if this info does not apply to this brand just let me know and I'll edit/remove*

I have a set of HRE's 18x10 rear and 18x8 Front, and I am dropped about 13mm from stock. No rubbing.

Hi,

I am considering a set of coilovers soon. And noticed the PSS9, how does it compare to the competition? Vs. Teins etc?
Are they rebuildable?
Easy to install and tune?
Good for autoX weekends? Or too soft?

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks!
