Oh yes I remember this one all too well! Man it was such a pain trying to get the mess out of all the little holes in the head rest.

 

This is horrible, one of us need to design some sort of sonic bird detering device for out cars or something.

 

<WARNING> Here comes a "This one time, at bandcamp..." stories. </WARNING>

Yes, I was a band geek back in my high school days. Anyway, we're at bandcamp out on a football field practicing our show for the upcoming year. We're running through some maneuvers (no music at this point) when suddenly a guy in my section starts cussing up a storm. Once we stop, I'm like "WTF???" That's when he shows us how he just got shit on by a bird while he was moving!!! Of course, being the sensitive men we were, the rest of us in our section laughed our asses off for a minute or so. Fast forward a month or two when we are practicing after school back at our own football field. The same exact guy gets crapped on by another bird, again while he was moving! Thankfully, he quit band the next year. I was worried about being so close to a crap magnet. I could have been the next victim!!!

So, I'd say if one guy can get dumped on twice while moving at a fast walk, then it's a safe bet that some random bird droppings can land inside a convertible, even one that's in motion.

Haven't happened yet in my S2K (knock on wood), but I got bombed by a bird while i was on my Gixxer. I was going down the highway 'bout 80 mph or so when all of a sudden, I felt a hail of something smack me in the faceshield and helmet... I actually didnt' even realize what had hit me until I got home. Of course, this happened the day after I got my new helmet.

 

Hasn't happened to me. But there are times when I park the car somewhere, come back out later and the soft top has been bombed to no end. I talkin' berries, sticks, purple stuff its horrible. And all I can think is "wow if the top had been down I would be on the floor with pains in left arm by now."

 

I came out to my car this morning and realized that 20 birds used my car as their toilet. Dammit, all over the car, and a bunch on the soft top. That stuff is hard to clean off. Arrghh..

 

Right after we got my wife her 2002 Eclipse Spyder GT, I went to the DMV to switch her plates. I swear I was in there maybe 15 minutes (Tuesday morning). I come out to a bird bomb right in the middle of the driver's seat.

I hate birds.

 

Well, it's better than burritos landing on your head.

Anyone remember who that happened too?

 

maybe we could get little surface to air missiles installed in the S2K like that z8 in the james bond movie. then we could intercept these projectiles

 

Vtec racer I remember that story of the sea gull dropping a burrito into someone's S, but for the life of me I can't remember who it was ... Still makes me laugh though....
